The Leven Programme is committed to working directly with those who live, work and visit the local area. The River Park Programme as the most active project in the Programme began delivery phase in June 2025.

We are looking for organisations, companies and individuals to undertake paid projects. Below is a list of the current projects out to tender.

  • River Park Programme Website Tender
     
    Green Action Trust as the trusted delivery partner of the River Park Programme is seeking Notes of Interest from consultants or agencies to deliver a new website for the c£5m River Park Programme. The work will be delivered between March and June 2026 as part of the River Park Programme’s delivery phase. The value of the work will be up to £20,000 excluding VAT.

Call For Delivery Partner - Pollinator Education and Planting Programme 

Help Primary School Pupils Learn About Pollinators and Green Habitats 

Green Action Trust is looking for someone to run outdoor learning and pollinator planting sessions for primary school classes around the River Park. 

The Pollinator Education and Planting Programme is part of the Building Biodiversity and Habitats activity strand delivered by the Green Action Trust. It engages primary school pupils in outdoor learning about pollinators, biodiversity, and habitats, followed by practical planting activities that enhance pollinator-friendly spaces within the River Park. 

The programme includes four half-day outdoor learning sessions and four half-day planting sessions. Delivery will take place before winter 2026, with dates agreed with the facilitator and schools. Planting locations will be decided by the facilitator, and plant materials will be provided by Green Action Trust. 

Up to 120 pupils per year will take part. 

Who We Are Looking For 

  • An outdoor learning qualification, evidence of relevant training, or similar experience 

  • Local knowledge of the River Park area 

  • Experience delivering outdoor learning or environmental education for children 

  • Confidence facilitating sessions with full primary school classes 

  • Experience working safely in outdoor environments 

  • Valid first aid training 

  • Public liability insurance 

  • PVG membership 

Partnership working with the Green Action Trust engagement team will be an important part of delivery. 

What to Include in Your Quote 

  • Delivery of 4 half-day outdoor learning sessions 

  • Delivery of 4 half-day pollinator planting sessions 

  • Staff time for planning, school liaison, site visits and risk assessments 

  • Materials for session delivery excluding plants, bulbs and trees 

  • Travel expenses 

  • Relevant experience and examples of similar work 

  • Proposed approach to session delivery 

  • How learning, participation and environmental impact will be supported

Heritage and Archaeology  Employability Project 

Join our Heritage and Archaeology Employability Course 

Our Heritage and Archaeology Employability Course offers structured training in fieldwork, research, and transferable skills that can be used in a wide range of different sectors. Designed to enhance employability, this programme provides practical experience to help build your CV, and connect with industry professionals—all while exploring fascinating heritage sites. No prior experience required. 

Course Structure 

The employability project will run three times , each cycle consisting of three phases. Participants can do one, two or all three phases. 

Phase 1: Introductory Training 

  • A 10-week block of on-site work training and indoor learning. 

  • Delivered twice weekly, Mondays and Wednesdays (4 hours per day - 8 hours per week), totalling 80 contact hours. 

  • Covering archaeology basics, site safety, interpretation, and transferable skills 

  • The project is designed to enhance a range of skills that are useful for the workplace 

Phase 2: Intensive Field School 

  • A 3-week immersive experience focusing on excavation, surveying, and conservation. 

  • Provides hands-on archaeological practice and exposure to real-world heritage work. 

  • 5 days a week for three weeks. 

Phase 3: Work Placement 

  • A 1-week paid placement with an archaeology employer or third-sector heritage organisation. 

  • Offers practical workplace experience and networking opportunities 

  • Opportunities flexible with participants commitments. 

Learning Outcomes 

Participants will gain skills in: 

  • Archaeology Practice: Excavation, surveying, recording, and post-excavation processes. 

  • Digital Skills: GIS mapping, photogrammetry, social media, and videography. 

  • Traditional Skills: Dry stone walling, lime mortaring, stone carving. 

  • Formal Site-Based Training: First aid, health and safety, manual handling. 

  • Employability Skills: CV and interview preparation, communication, teamwork. 

Accreditation and Progression 

  • Participants can earn Heritage Hero Awards and other certifications. 

  • Signposting to further education, volunteering, or employment opportunities. 

  • Networking events and graduation ceremonies to celebrate achievements. 

Timetable of Courses

  • Course 1: February – June 2026 

  • Course 2: August – October 2026 

  • Course 3: February – June 2027 

Deadline for applications for Course 1 is 23rd February

The first course starts on the 23rd of February and the first 10-week block will run every Monday and Wednesday, 10.30 - 14.30, until the 6th of May. There will be no classes on the week of the 6th of April.
